Uyab nako lagot ko sa imuha,

kay sige ra ka storya,

palitan daw ko nimu ug sanina,

Girl's Red Tide

This was a short poem I made when I got bored when I was having my menstruation. You may find it gross but it was just a silly poem. 

Agay.....ang sakit na dili angay i-syagit,

Pero makapatindog nimu ug kalit.

Pagkapait ba aning kasakit,

hantod imung tudlo apil makiit.

Adto ko'g tindhaan para mupalit,

sa akong napkin nga sa panty ikabit,

kay lain ilakaw kung pilit-pilit,

labi nang dili muundang ining pag-sirit,

diri sa tunga sa akong singit.

I Conquer!

March 23, 2015. I Had Conquer the one of My Biggest Fear - Hosting in front of the crowd. 

It was the wedding of my cousin. We arrived in the morning and two days before their grand event. In the afternoon we visited them in their house and there was my aunt doing the emcee guide. Out of the blue, while I sat on the bed wanted to have some rest, she asked me if I could be the host in the reception.....silence....What?! never in my wildest dreams dreamt that I'll be hosting a wedding someday. I was shocked, speechless and stuttered while I tried to enumerate my excuses to refuse her request. 

Unfortunately, my sister was there and heard the request of our aunt, so she also told our aunt that I was capable to do it because I had already an experience on it - BUT it was a school event!, it was a graduation! what can you expect on it? everything is formal, no joke to throw, no ad-libs and no enthusiasm needed for me to show.

However, I accepted the request of our aunt since she kept on telling me that there was a guide for me. The next thing I remember the paper was on my hand. I brought it everywhere I go. I practiced everywhere I stayed. As I run through the script, I also remembered the moments I've been into weddings. Before, I don't give a damn whoever was the host, all in my mind was I was in the reception because of the food, and that's all. I also remembered how I observed, critiqued, and made fun of the mistakes of the emcee.

No one likes to be discriminated in minds of anyone. I don't want to happen same things to me as what I did to any emcees I observed - though they don't know what I was doing. Mind me, I'm very conscious person and I am still having a problem with my confidence but I'm working on it and so I had to be good on the event. After all, it was me, the bride and groom on the spotlight. Plus, my family was there! I never performed in my entire life with serious matters in front of them, I always preferred that no family member to watched over me.

Therefore, I practiced a lot, I asked the help of my sister since she was the one who can give me the meanest comment that I ever heard, and that was what I needed in those moment. I noticed on the script that there were still blanks for me to filled in with words, lines, ad-libs and j.o.k.e.s. The problem was --> I'm not good at it.

The big day came, It was my first and final practice in the venue. I still don't know the name of the major principals. I gave it up to the Lord to guide me and help me impress the crowd. 

Heart pounded so fast.
All eyes on me.
They Smiled.
They followed my instructions and cues.
and they clapped.

To end this, I can say that what I did their was unbelievably good......better.....but not my very best because I still believe that I still have a long time to live and that moment may come across on me again. However, according to my sister and cousins, I was able to deliver it with confidence and with sweet smiles all over face. I able to speak English fluently. I did ad-libs, transitions and jokes! whoah! Of course, these things I believed and boasted was also commended by my sister, she said she liked my diction and everything. One of the proof was one of my cousin wanted me to book as the emcee of her daughter's debut 5 years from now. 

In that moment, I can really say to myself Good job! at last you have the guts and confidence! and I'm so proud of you. So Proud. 

I Want That

Why? Why I’m not beautiful?

Why I’m not tall or at least have a good height?

Why I’m not sexy?

Why I don’t have body curves?

Why I don’t have an edgy nose?

Why my teeth are naturally incomplete?

Why my skin does not satisfactorily glow ?

Why I have pimples and open pores?

Why I’m not so smart?

Why I’m not fluent in speaking English?

Why I’m not confident?

Why I don’t have lots of money to buy things I want?

Why I get easily envied the people around me who have the things that I don’t have?

ALL of them affect my mood to shift easily; I don’t want to be bipolar.

I want to be confident and do things without thinking myself-limitation that always hinders me.

I’m tired pretending to be okay.

I’m tired pretending that I don’t envied them; that I’m really proud of what I have but deep inside of me really looked down myself.

I want to be envied too! I want to accept and be proud of who really am and how I really looked like.

But I really don’t know what to do and how to start it either.

I hope one day I will just wake up and already learned to appreciate ME.

“Teaching as a Vocation, Mission and Profession”

               Some people say that teaching is a noble profession, others say that it is only for people who is knowledgeable enough to teach children and others say that it is done by someone who has an authority. So, this is what I say on what teaching is.

             Teaching is a Vocation. Every person is destined to be somebody in his own field. I can say that teaching is easy, but teaching with morals and molding humans for the future is not that simple as 1, 2 and 3. Like everyone can be a teacher but being an effective teacher needs someone with passion and devotion for teaching. Teachers became teachers not because of luck or misfortune, but because she/he is destined to be one. Being a teacher requires a lot of things to gain and even to sacrifice. Therefore, God will not put someone in this profession if he is not capable to do it or if his fate is not on teaching. God has always reasons for everything that happened to us and that is for the person to discover and realize someday.

              Teaching is a Mission. Every human being has a purpose or mission in this world and the main purpose of every human is to produce and protect life. As teachers, we always have goals in everything we teach and do to our students. Why? It is simply because we are teachers who have mission and that is to make each of our students competitive, equipped with the fundamental skills and knowledge and also to be a total human person for his society.

           We teachers are not only teaching to have students with brilliant minds we are also destined to produce human beings with heart and soul for everyone. A human that is capable to love and care for the other people. Teachers are like disciples of Jesus. We are expected to teach and cater the knowledge of our students. What kind of knowledge? Knowledge for subjects, for himself, for life, for morality, and for God and that is through teaching them the knowledge and the truth comes with it and God is the truth and that is the great assigned task of Him to us – to perform with excellence when doing our service.

               Teaching is a Profession. As what a popular saying goes like “You cannot give what you don’t have” just like for us teachers, we cannot fully transform our students to be somebody in this world if in the first place we do not have the mastery of our field or simply the knowledge, and care and love for them. We teachers are their models and considered as their second mother. We do affect them easily that much since they are spending most of their time in school and as being with them every day we have the great responsibility on taking care of our actions in or outside of our classroom. Therefore, we teachers should always have a guidance and that is through thinking that in everything we say and do must be done for the greater glory of GOD.

                Therefore, as a future teacher, we should be thankful that we are taking this noble course because it is only few who are destined to have the patience and knowledge to be shared on the large community. Teaching is a powerful profession. Teachers have the greatest influential duty in this world because they can make either a monster or a hero for the future of a society. Teachers affect and make characters out of their teaching. Teaching is a certified noble profession because it does what God and his disciples tried and trying to do – to teach and spread the truth to His people.

Teachers are Everywhere

Teachers are engineers,

who are builders of characters,

Teachers are accountants,

who are balancers of knowledge and manner that makes it more significant,

Teachers are agriculturists,

who are planters of the seeds of wisdom to become futurists,

Teachers are nurses,

who assist student’s studies,

A teacher is a programmer,

who put codes on lessons to remember,

A teacher is a philosopher,

who is a thinker of things to make it clearer,

 Teachers are teachers who can be anywhere to mold future leaders.

In this passage, I strongly believed that a teacher must have his own personal philosophy so that he will have a guide on how he will teach the learners. Having a philosophy will set as a guideline or a goal for a teacher. Through setting a philosophy, a teacher will be guided on how and what approach he will instill on his learners therefore the philosophy of a teacher must bring goodness to her learners; a philosophy that will impact her learners in a positive way to become a good and productive citizens in our country.

A teacher is seen by his learners as their model and bring influence on their being therefore he must show what a firm person takes to be. One of it is that he must show that he is an organized person; a person with goals and that is, for teachers, through having his educational philosophy and free from any form of biases so that he will be guided all throughout his teachings because his philosophy will serve as his grounds when the time of confusion comes and he will be aid on what decisions to make. When students see their teacher is firm when it comes in decision making they tend to do their best in coming up a good quality works and outputs.

In the other hand, some teachers do not have their own philosophy and some are having two or more philosophy that they apply to their teachings so that their learner take some wisdom of life while they are still learning but then teachers too have life and so they also learn from their students and learning is constantly evolving therefore teacher must re-invent their philosophy when it is needed to fit their learners. Though teachers have the superior authority in the classroom they should still give chance or freedom to their learners to think, make and share their ideas. Teachers must not over rule their students when it comes to decision making instead he must help them to be a rational thinking person so that someday the learner can create her own philosophy that bring justice and goodness to others as well; a philosophy that does not violates any law in this world.

Teachers are guide of the students in their development, they spend most of their time in school and so teachers do greatly impact and influence the learner’s life. Teachers must give importance on each of their students because they come to school to be educate and learn new things from people they call teachers. Therefore teachers must do their best in teaching for that is the student’s purpose why they are in school. Giving various activities and opportunities for them to acquire and develop their skills and mental, physical and emotional abilities that will form them holistically as human beings, with such capabilities, these will help them someday to be successful and living their life as individual with principles.

To sum it up, us teachers must be well directed on our teaching no matter what problem strikes us, we must still stand firm and be professional on it and that is with the help of having our philosophy in life and in teaching because if we have it we have a clear and strong path that is constructed and cemented on us.

My Personal Philosophy of Education

I believe that every child needs to educate and undergo a process of discipline in able to survive living in this world. A teacher must recognized first how her job affects the child, the community and the future generation of the society – that teaching is a vocation, a mission and a profession.

I believe that every child who goes in school deserve to be given the right education that a teacher can give. Supplying intellectual activities and opportunities for them to learn and develop their skills and talents. I believe that every child should be respected and be talked like adults but cared like a fragile vase. Children are like miniature adults, they should learn how to talk and speak words accurately and not baby talk them since they are still young and their brain is like a sponge that absorb whatever information they get from adults they trust. In able to teach them the right one, a teacher must do, act and say what is right for they saw their teacher as their model.

I believe that children’s suggestions must be listened and heard to have an open and equal learning environment for both teacher and children. Teaching is a continuous learning and it evolves regularly, the teacher must seek and open for new learning and information that the society is giving. Flexible, approachable, patient and open minded are the attributes that will really help a teacher in adopting changes in her classroom and society. In resolving conflicts in the class and setting up rules, children must be part of it since the policies are for them and it will be easy for them to remember the rules if they are the once who made and agreed on it.

Children must not be forced nor threatened for learning because they have different pace of acquiring knowledge; the interests of the pupil must be the center for learning. Every individual is unique in different ways, we have our own likes and dislikes and we have our own reasons why and so as well as when a child is learning, they have their own way of learning best and so they should not be forced if they are not ready to learn something because it will just be wasted. It will not strongly remain in their heads what the teacher have taught on them if they are not ready and interested to learn. Patience is working best in this situation. Wait for the child to be ready to listen and learn and expect effective learning from it.

Pupil’s outputs should be evaluated well through setting criteria and for giving well assessed questionnaires and examinations to give justice on their efforts in listening and studying their lessons. Letting the children know your standard is also important so that they know how you will grade them and know what they will do. Having appropriate strategies in discussion is also important so that the pupils will have a better understanding about the topic. Providing tactile materials rather than providing black and white pictures in the discussion will make the learning more real since the child will not have a hard time in imagining the things that the teacher is describing.

A teacher must be a good role model of positivity, good morals and has the unbeatable energy when discussing her lessons. Teaching good values to the children is also important so that they will have grounds in doing what is good and right for them and for everybody. Producing a student that is intelligent with good values is what the most fulfilling for teachers. A teacher must not forget that children saw them as their knight in the shining armor aside from their parents and there are times that they tend to believe and take the side of their teachers rather than their parents so it only shows that teachers has a great impact on the lives of his/her children. A teacher must be cautious on his/her actions because the young ones might do what she/he sees regardless if it is wrong.

 I believe that a teacher must always be a teacher whether inside or outside of the school; she keeps on teaching, inspiring and guiding one’s life to a brighter side of living through his/her actions and words and with this a teacher will never fails the experience of his/her students every single day.

3:24PM

I wrote this when I got bored in my class and I felt so sleepy that time because it was 3:24PM and the blow of the wind was so calming that made me to write this silly education student poem:)

Reporting will start,

though I am not part,

but it is in my heart

to listen and be smart.

It maybe make you feel sleepy,

at least it can't make you dizzy.

as long as they keep on being witty,

in making the session lively.

It gives you knowledge,

to have the courage,

to make yourself better,

and not to regret forever.

I will not take this longer,

'coz in front is the reporter,

and I don't want to offend her,

for she's ready to deliver.

And I'm not just a viewer 

nor even a listener

but also a learner

who wish to be an achiever.

And on my back is my teacher,

looking at my paper,

thinking I'm a writer,

My High school Life

My High School Life

In my high school years I studied in 3 schools. But the most memorable times for me was my alma mater the Liceo De Cagayan University. I studied there for 2 years (3^rd yr-4^th yr). Now, I realized that the experienced I had in that school was perfect! I had it all! While I was still studying in that school I never appreciated every time, every thing and every day that I’m in that school. I hate, I curse, I discriminate the school for making my life harder when I reached 4^th year. I often say that “hahai…..nagmahay jud ko ngano dri ko nag eskwela…….”(I really regret that I study here), “eiiiii!! Kalagot! Sunugon jud ni nakong school!”(I'll really gonna burn this school!)…and my classmates were just agreed and laughed with me.. my friends in 4^th yr was so amazing…they were there for me everytime I needed them especially my "badang" - SHARINE…we understand each other, we have lots of common interest, we always talked about guys and our love life, we were good at stalking interesting people, we gave advises to each other when needed, and we shared our laughter and tears. I really missed them all. When our class ended we always walked together from our school to Carmen Mercado (1km), we don’t feel tired because we enjoyed each others company - we were talking while walking. My badang and I were very “laagan” because whenever we felt that were already tired we still able to managed to went in ketkai just to have fun and even though (sometimes) we don’t have money. We really enjoyed each others company. We have the same behavior and we can relate to each other. I missed Robert and Sharine dancing K-pop, kasi kami lang tatlo ang mhilig ng kpop sa room.

When the school year was near to end, we always hangout because we know that we may not see each other again because “EVERYTHING MAY CHANGE, EVEN JUST IN A BLINK OF AN EYE”.. I can say that our friendship was “THE PERFECT ONE” and it is worth to treasure forever…and I can say also that our friendship is not yet over and will never be”

A night with a best guy!

This photo was taken at Country Village Hotel, Cagayan de Oro City, Aug.13, 2011. This is so blurry! :(  but i'm buying soon the photo took by the photographer - it was better than this! wahahaha! still i'm lucky!

That day was so fantastic and enchanting ! Why?   because we watched their game then after the game the people are rushing on the younghusband brothers and only few on misagh but deep inside in  me I was so happy because I had a greater chance to take picture with him. But, as I moved closer to him the people were moving nearer and closer to him as well and so I, who is not that tall had a hard time to get picture of him and the only thing I did their was to hold his hand! hahaha!  and honestly I'm not satisfied on what I did so I came up with a decision to went in the hotel where they stayed in and so I convinced my friends to go their because I felt that I will really regret if I can't take a picture with him!   and so we went . . .  and we were so happy on what we had.  

Maybe the only thing that I regret the most after meeting him were:

• I did not able to give him a pasalubong or any thing that I can give to him and;
• I regret also that I did not hug him!!   ;((

anyway, MISAGH BAHADORAN is a best guy!! * I so like him*

WHY?

• He is NOT snobbish!
• He is APPROACHABLE :)
• He ACKNOWLEDGE his fans/supporters!  
  
  [ I can't really forget the line he said when he opposed on his manager who wanted him to leave us because he had to take his dinner and he was tired from the game. anyway, when his manager told him to leave us he said immediately " No! I want to sign. " and we all do shouting and screaming our lungs out because we did not expect that he was that too kind! :)]

Who is my Hero?

What is a hero? A hero is the one who saves. The one who done heroic deeds and someone who is brave and had courage to fight for what is right.

I am a kind of person who likes to wander and went home late. My mother and sister always talked to me about my "hobby" but I cannot change it for now because that is my way to ease my stress from school.

Many times my hero grant my wishes and one of them (which frequently happened to me) was when I am going to school late. While I am riding in a jeepney I hardly prayed that our teacher will be much late than me and if that will happen I promise that I will never be late again. My hero granted my wish, but I did not keep my promise to Him; I still come to school late. I still wish same things from Him and I still keep on breaking my promises to Him. Despite of that, He still continues granting my wishes and so I believe that He is with me and He is my savior and my hero.

Though my hero is invisible and cannot be proven scientifically, but for me He is here with me to save and guide me. Every time I am weary He is there for me. His house is always open for me to come. He gives me signs when I am confused. He protects me; He never let me to be in danger though He gives me trials to make me stronger.

Nobody can overpower my hero for He knows everything; he made everything. He molds me to become a good person with conscience. He never gets tired in helping and guiding me in my life and most of all I am not the only one He saves and protects but as well are my family, friends and you. He is my hero and my savior, God.

Flirty or Friendly

These two words are commonly misinterpreted and so I want to talk about these two words. There are people who are naturally friendly, outgoing and sweet but unfortunately for them, they were misinterpreted and labeled as “flirt”. Even I confused in these two words and I encountered or experienced this situation, but I am not the one who was labeled as “flirt” instead I am the one who misinterpreted them. What are their limitations or indications to be called or labeled as friendly or flirty? Well, since I don't know the answer/s so I asked my block mates on how they differentiate a friendly person to a flirty one. Most of them were girls and a guy.

According to them, a friendly person talk decently and put distance or limitations when having conversation, always say “hi” to the people he or she knew, a friendly person had a lot of friends and s/he normally treated them fairly and does not put with malice in his or her actions to his friends, has good intentions, not ashamed to chat to other people and he or she likes to make friends and ask questions with sense.

Flirty people are really flirt! they overdo the acts of being friendly, into the extent that they always get closer to the opposite sex and they will pretend as if they are cute though they are not, they are lack of attention so they wanted to be the center of attraction, they get angry when they know that their crush has someone else and they ask questions with non sense.

Now, we have the differences between a friendly and flirty person and so I hope those things will help to correctly label a person. Though I am not saying that these things I wrote are the only basis to label someone as friendly or flirty. For me, it is okay to flirt as long as you are not in a relationship and you had something to show off, but if you do not have anything to boast, well, it is better for you to stay friendly at least you have something to boast and that are your friends. I do believe as well that all people and even animals need to flirt, to find and have a partner in life.

in L O V E

What is love? In this four letter word, we have various meaning to state and as for me love is an action or a feeling that people cannot leave without and continue in seeking for it though he or she knows that it is risky and can break his or her heart. If love is a person, he or she already violates a lot of rules and had multiple crime done. Love is like a tree and its falling leaves. You can never let someone stay with you forever because nothing is forever. Sometimes you have to let them go but you have to remain standing just like what trees do, because when the right time comes new leaves will replace all the branches that are better than before.


Everything happens for a reason. You know that you really love someone when you want him or her to be happy even if his or her happiness means that you are not a part of it. You can give without loving but you cannot love without giving. Taking risk and being hurt are part of loving because it test you and help you to grow and if you do not get hurt, you will never learn how to love, but then love does not hurt all the time. Falling in love means you are just falling without forcing yourself and even you cannot explain it.


We fall in love in a simple way and we fell out of love in the same way. Moving on is not meant to forget each other but it is all about acceptance, that some things are not meant to be for each other. One of the most confusing part of love is when you let go of someone you love but others said that if you love the person, you must fight for him or her.  We lose someone for a reason and that is only if we are destined to find someone else who can love us as much as we love them and as much as we love ourselves. 


Love comes with a package of pain, risk and happiness. Love can make us sad and in just a moment can make us happy. With those things we can know what is real love. When things are meant to be for each other, no matter how long it takes, no matter how far they go and no matter how tough it seems there is God who will bring them together.
